Técnicas de Acessibilidade: Criando uma Web para Todos
Translation of Title: Accessibility Techniques: Building a Web for Everyone
Abstract
Técnicas de Acessibilidade: Criando uma Web para Todos is a practical, hands-on introduction to the principles and techniques for building web pages that are accessible to people with physical, visual, hearing, or intellectual disabilities. The book covers the W3C’s international guidelines, Brazil’s e-MAG accessibility guidelines, and the WCAG Samurai guidelines, together with a set of practical rules — correct use of alternative text, CSS, relative units, page structure, tables, forms, keyboard shortcuts, skip links, and accessibility menus — aimed at developers who want to put accessibility into practice. It closes with a chapter on accessibility evaluation and validation tools. Published by EdUFAL in partnership with SENAI’s Program for Inclusive Actions, and supported by Banco do Nordeste do Brasil, the book grew out of the author’s experience training SENAI/AL professionals to better serve people with disabilities.
